|
Hello everyone,
seems things just take a long time to do and I get frustrated like everyone else. I have looked forward to Pantheons and want to play, however Mike has to learn a whole new language to get it going and even then has Full World to finish first. I will run a game "human Moderated", like the old games back in the 90s we used to run. This will do a few things for us, test out some of the rules that had to be changed from the board game to the computer and let us all have some fun. The update will be slow....maybe 1 turn a week or 1 turn every 2 weeks, depending on my schedule and it will continue til it is over (only 1 guy/gal left) or Mike finishes Pantheons.
Anyone who wants to play can e-mail me godzilla (through the 1483 mail system) and I will make posts here about who has what Pantheon, Enhanced Members will get first shot at Pantheons for the next 10 days I will only take Enhanced Members orders for Pantheons, after 10 days I will announce which Pantheons have been filled and open the game up to everyone. The 10 days will start on September 16th.
There will be no downloading of softwear, I will post about how to place a turn for your Pantheon. The game will be held on the panthoensonline.com site but we will give you a 1483 private game number so that I can make posts about turn and turn reports. I will be posting more so look at the Pantheons updated map to get ideas about which Pantheon you would like to be and e-mail me (godzilla).
Here is the link you can go to so you can sign up for the game....this link is just for the update e-mails, DO NOT sign up for the game as it is a 1483 game and it will NOT update http://www.1483online.com/gameInfo.php?gameNum=79
sign up as an observer
Check back here every so often as we put up new pages and rules I will make posts here.
Thanks and I hope that we all have a lot of fun.

there will be parts of the map that will have questions marks, these will be in Antartica and these territories are protected by Ice Giants every turn the territories will be attack by these Ice Giants (however the territories will be worth anywhere between 25 and 100 points each)
There will be two "special Territories" these will be Eldorado (worth 20) in S. America and King Salomons Mines (worth 20) Africa. Both will be protected by guardians that you will have to defeat first (10 Gods, 7 Heroes and 10 Infantry)
The game is now open to all

ok, we will go over Wonder and what they mean to your Pantheon.
first off wonders cost 100 resource points to build, you pay for it 10 points at a time over 10 turns. When the Wonder is completed it will provide 5 Resource points a turn from people coming to see (tourists) the Wonder.
#1: Colossus
provides +3 resource points per city
+1 for a chance for the Technological Achievement of Archticure
#2: Celestal Temple
+1 on all Interloper Rolls
#3: Great Lighthouse
recieve +2 cargo and +2 hits on all Ships
#4: Warrior Statue
Receive +1/+1 for all your infantry
#5: Hall of Heroes
Purchase them for 8 instead of 10, +1/+1 for all Heroes
#6: The Pantheon
Purchase gods for 13 instead of 15, gods are killed on 4 hits, not 3
#7 Great Library
+1 on all chances for Technological Achievements
#8: The Great Portal
Ability to make portals. The Wonder is the central Portal that all other portals lead to. Can build portals for 20. If wonder is destroyed, all portals are destroyed.
#9: Chains of the Gods
Reduces hit points of gods and heroes by -1, but only in your original "home territories". Home territories are the ones that the Pantheons start with.
#10: Pandoras Box
When used a 50/50 change for every interloper on the board going away. Pandoras box can only be used once and no other pandoras Wonders can be built.
If anyone can think of any others please drop me a line.
the game is open to all, so please chose a Pantheons.

Interlopers
I'm going to keep this simpler that the game program and only take the interlopers from the core game and a few of my favorites.
What are Interlopers?
Interlopers are groups of beings that don't necessarily belong to any Pantheon.
to get an Interloper on your side simply pay 25 points and you get a 3 out of 10 chance of them coming to your aid. Once you have them on your side they are all on your side till they are all dead. once they are all dead (unless you have wheel of Life) and no longer on your side, anyone can purchase them again (unless hate comes into it, for instance, if you have hell you cannot try for heaven, if you have the Lords of Chaos you cannot get the Lords of Order).
Interlopers
The Four Horseman
Death (kills 1 units before each combat)
War (all units attacking with war receive +1 to there attack)
Pestilence (target city cannot produce units this turn)
Famine (target territory produces 0 this turn
The Titans
name Type Attack strength
Ouranos God 9
Cronos God 9
Gaia God 9
Rhea God 7
Coeus God 6
Atlas God 6
Metis God 7
Mnemosyne God 7
Hyperion god 5
Lords of Order
12 God 8
Lords of Chaos

Centaur Hero 4
5 Cyclops Hero 5
Pan Hero 4
10 5/5 Infantry

Now we will go over Technological Achievements
To say that these are technological achievements isn’t 100% true, they are more simply achievements. Each technological achievement gives the pantheon that receives it benefits that others players in the game don’t start with. To gain technological achievements simply pay 25 for one roll. If on that roll the player receives an 8, 9 or 10 that player is the recipient of said technological achievements.
Wheel of Life:
The Wheel of Life is the belief that your people believe in reincarnation and that the dead are reborn. What this does is allow a pantheon to bring back into play a god or hero that has already died.
Cosmic Wheel of Life:
The Cosmic Wheel of Life is the belief that Interlopers can be reincarnated. While this doesn’t necessarily get a layer back a certain units from a certain interloper group, it does give that player a chance. If every one of the gods, heroes and infantry are destroyed and are no longer in the game, but have been in the game once already, the pantheon who has the Cosmic Wheel can bring them back into play on his or her side. However, if Hell is all destroyed and you had Heaven earlier in the game, you cannot go for Hell. The same can be said for The Lords of Order and Chaos, if you had one you cannot get the other. Once a pantheon has gained the Cosmic Wheel to get interlopers that have already been destroyed, simply roll for them as if it was the first time. In other words, pay 25 production points and roll, on a 8, 9 or 10 you have gained control of those interlopers. This still doesn’t let a pantheon control Ragnarok, or any interlopers that they could normally (i.e. Ragnarok, Amazons, Glorious dead and Titans if you’re the Greeks). A Pantheon must have the Wheel of Life before they can try for the Cosmic Wheel of Life.
Religious Freedom:
Religious Freedom allows a Pantheon that has destroyed another pantheon to absorb that pantheon into their own myth. What this does is allow a player to use the pieces from another pantheon. The prerequisite is that the player who gets to absorb the defeated pantheon is the person who controls most of the original starting land of the pantheon. The pantheon being absorbed must be completely out of the game, not even one unit can remain on the board/map. For instance, let us say that you are Shinto and you have taken over most of China, and you have gained the technological achievement of Religious Freedom. This technological achievement would let the Shinto player use the gods and heroes that haven’t been destroyed that game and access to all the infantry counters. Basically this achievement lets you use the force pool infantry (and to some extant the gods and heroes) of another pantheon so that it is possible for one person to conquer the game/map.
Teleport:
This technological achievement gives all gods from the pantheon who gains this advantage, teleport. To use this achievement a god would use this INTEAD of its movement. This achievement allows the god to carry passengers. However, when used every unit in the same territory MUST be teleported. And the territory being teleported into must be owned by the pantheons god that is doing the teleport.
Environmental God:
This achievement will let a pantheon turn one god into an environmental god. The god that is turned no longer fights: but still takes three hits. The god that is turned into the environmental god is chosen by another player out of the gods that are currently in play. The environmental god changes the production point that a land produces. For instance it can change a one (1) production point land into a two (2) production point land. The environmental god may only change the production point of a land by one (1) point, up or down. If the environmental god is ever destroyed, all the land that the god change reverts back to normal and that pantheon must gain the achievement again.
Chaos Gate:
Any Pantheon who has had control of the Lords of Chaos will have a +1 to this roll. A chaos gate is a teleport, without the god doing the teleport. If you build a single Chaos Gate it will do nothing, their needs to be two in order to work. If all that is build on the game map is two then it will always work that it teleports all units there to the other Chaos Gate. However, if there are two or more Chaos Gates then each one must be assigned numbers. Each number corresponds to the number on the die. When a unit enters the Chaos Gate and wishes to use it simply roll a die and that number is the Chaos Gate the unit ends up at. If for some reason there are more than ten Chaos Gates roll the die twice, the first roll is for the tens (a zero being just that, a zero) and the next die roll is the single digit.
Architecture: This allows the Pantheon to build a city. A city costs 20 prodution points to build.
Archimedes Death Ray:
If you get this achievement you can build an Arch-Death Ray unit. These units can only attack ships. one at turn it will attack 10 times, so it can do 10 hits (possible). it has an 8 in 10 chance of hitting any ship in a sea zone that touches the land territory that it is on. These units do NOT move, and only 2 per territory. Cost: 25 each
Cosmic Death Ray: this achievement allows you to build a Cosmic Death Ray. These units attack ONLY gods. when gods attack a territory that the Cosmic Death Ray is in, it attacks 7 times and has a 8 in 10 chance of hitting. This unit does NOT move, and only 1 per territory. Cost: 30 Each
Inciderary Fire: With this achievement you can build an Inciderary Fire Infantry Unit. This unit when attacking a city gives all Infantry units that attack with it a +1. You can have as many Inciderary Infantry attack to get all infantry up to 9, but that is as high as any unit can go. Cost per unit: 25
Siege Tower: With this achievement you can build a siege tower or defensive works. A siege tower can attack a city 10 times with an attack value of 5 out of 10. Having a Siege Tower negates the effects of any defensive works a city might have, however they both cancel each other out. Each tower moves 1 territory per turn and costs 30
Defensive Works: all units in a city defend at +2, NO unit can be over a 9 ever. Having Defensive Works negates the effects of any and all siege towers that are attacking the city it is in. only 1 per city. Cost 40 |

Hello Evereyone
Since full world is going back onto the "hot plate" I will be needed to do more grunt work on it. I'm going to put this pantheon game on hold for now, but I will continue to work on it in my spare time. it is my hope that 1483 full world might be done by x-mas(my hope) and everyone will have full world to enjoy for a while, I hope to have it ready to go on February. It is my other hope that as this first Pantheon game human moderated is finished and few months later we can play the computer game with a load of input from the players.
I will post more updates here as possible
